Japan donated US robot disaster recovery
US company iRobot has gifted Japan 4 robots, including 2 robot called PackBots and two robots called Warriors, to mix with the Japanese robot engaged in the recovery after the earthquake and tsunamis.
Packbot
Packbot which is a combat unit testing fast, it is used to spread bomb, reconnaissance and other tactical operations. In Japan, Packbot is equipped with sensors Hazmat and regional implementation of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant, to identify chemical, biological or radiological abnormalities.
Warrior
Warrior is larger robot models, it can go through the wreckage and can lift heavy objects more than 100kg.Ngoai this task, it was capable of fighting, with the deployment of water cannons, or remove all rubble. Warrior additional PackBots agility and ability to penetrate into the hot zone.
Packbot and Warrior are both remote control from a distance of 800 meters and the data will be transmitted to the control station. The robots play an important role in the joint efforts to search and post-disaster recovery, it can go into dangerous places to prevent unnecessary casualties of man.
